NEW!COLLABORATIVE EP - "RAPPAHANNOCK"
https://shanecooley.hearnow.com
RAPPAHANNOCK EP is out now on all digital music platforms! This is s collaborative effort with Adrian H. Z. Kunzmann and Fritz Ferrato, with guest vocals by Lori Ellen Music on track 5.
Everything about this collection of tunes came about in such a genuine manner. From meeting my friend Adrian on a plane 14 years ago, to a magical week of cowriting and recording at Cooleyland with Adrian and his brother Fritz, to sitting here in #FrankfurtGermany getting ready for our release show at Frankfurt Art Bar ..it’s been a journey!
The six songs on this EP - a combo of our own tunes and collaborations - they all draw inspiration from the river that I call home. ❤️
Produced and mixed by Shane Cooley.
Mastered by Fred Kevorkian in NYC. Give it a listen!

STELLA RAY
*Shane's Beach Boys inspired summer single, "Stella Ray" is on Spotify, Bandcamp, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and more!
"With a naïve charm that can only be achieved by an accomplished arranger (think Brian Wilson), ‘Stella Ray’ is a chance for Shane Cooley to show off his breezy side. Injected with the sounds of 60s pop, it’s a serious summer jam." - Duncan Haskell, editor of Songwriting Magazine (U.K.)
"Shane Cooley pivots toward jovial summertime leanings and stares at the sun on "Stella Ray": a pure fun, off-kilter, folk-pop miniature. Like a kid with ABC building blocks, the Virginia/Austin-based artist toys and tinkers with a mixed bag of instruments from buoyant mandolin to pan-puttered percussion and seesaw synths. Cooley's smooth register - childlike and dreamy - strolls unrushed. Diverting from the melancholic and rural pastoral folk on Kings Highway (2015), the Beach Boys-inspired track aligns itself more with the experimental Americana backdrop on April's Forest". - Alejandra Ramirez, The Austin Chronicle
